About the event
Gampopa's Jewel Ornament of Liberation - with Lama Zangmo
The text The Jewel Ornament of Liberation merges the instructions of the Kadampa school with the Mahamudra instructions. In this classic text of the Kagyu Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, Gampopa combined an explanation of the path of accumulation of merit, which he learned from the famous pandit Atisha, with the development of realisation using Mahamudra meditation, which he learned from his guru Milarepa.
This is one of the primary texts of the Kagyu Lineage and is of immense relevance and benefit to all practitioners, regardless of what stage they are at. In addition to providing a step-by-step outline of the path to Buddhahood, the teachings on Buddha nature can provide students with confidence in the path and inspiration to keep moving along the unmistaken path of liberation.
The text consists of 21 chapters. This is the second class in the  second module. The course consists of a  full day of teaching once each month, with time for Q&A and short meditations. If booked onto this course please commit to attend all the teachings, with the exception of unforeseen circumstances or emergencies. Attendance at this second module can only be done via the office.Â
The second part of the course has FOUR interlinked sessions. Dates for this course are: 9th September; 28th October; 11th November; and 9th December 2023. Â Attendance to all sessions is required and a register will be kept.Â
