Gampopa's Jewel Ornament of Liberation - with Lama Zangmo

Lama Zangmo's course on The Jewel Ornament of Liberation by Gampopa is open again for subscribers for the module starting 9th September, which runs over four monthly Saturdays. The course will focus on Refuge & Bodhicitta, starting on chapter eight:  How to Develop Perfect Bodhicitta, the remedy to ignorance of the means for becoming enlightened. The course is open to those who have a basic knowledge of Buddhism and wish to learn further, and is able to commit to attending all the dates.

The text The Jewel Ornament of Liberation merges the instructions of the Kadampa school with the Mahamudra instructions. In this classic text of the Kagyu Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, Gampopa combined an explanation of the path of accumulation of merit, which he learned from the famous pandit Atisha, with the development of realisation using Mahamudra meditation, which he learned from his guru Milarepa.

This is one of the primary texts of the Kagyu Lineage and is of immense relevance and benefit to all practitioners, regardless of what stage they are at. In addition to providing a step-by-step outline of the path to Buddhahood, the teachings on Buddha nature can provide students with confidence in the path and inspiration to keep moving along the unmistaken path of liberation.

The text consists of 21 chapters, and this is the  second module. The course consists of a monthly full day of teaching with time for Q& A and short meditations.
