About the event

Over this practice weekend Lama Zangmo will give some instructions on the visualisations, meditations and benefits of this practice, but the emphasis will mainly be on gaining familiarity through having plenty of time for actual practice on both days.

Tara is called the Mother of all the Buddhas, as she represents the wisdom that gives birth to enlightenment, the ultimate realisation of a Buddha. In the tales associated with Tara it is said that Green Tara and White Tara sprang from two of Chenrezig's tears to help the bodhisattva of infinite compassion in his task of swiftly liberating all sentient beings from suffering. Thus when our practice of compassion can be coupled and sustained with that of swift, fearless and wise activity, it can produce powerful results.

During this day of instructions, Lama Zangmo will briefly explain the meaning and visualisations that accompany the practice. In order to receive these instructions participants should at least havetaken Refuge or be intending to do so at the next opportunity.

Please bring the Green Tara text (available from the KSDL shop).

Please Note That It Is Required To Attend Both Days Of This Event, It Is Not Possible To Atttend Individual Sessions Only

The £5 is a non refundable registration fee, not a payment for the course. There is no charge for our courses and teachings, but donations to help cover the costs of running the centre are very welcome.
