About the event
This is the second session of a seven-part Introduction to Buddhism series.Â
Parts three to seven will be on the following dates: 25th March; 22nd April; 20th May; 17th June; and 15th July 2023.Â
The Noble Eightfold Path is the essence of the Middle Way, the path between the extremes of self-indulgence and denial. It contains eight interrelated aspects that make up the 'skilful living' that the Buddha taught is necessary to uproot suffering and its causes, and thus to sever the cycle of conditioned existence.
The Noble Eightfold Path comprises the three essentials of Buddhist training, ethical conduct, mental development and wisdom. (Please note that the 'right' in this instance means 'skillful and wise'.)
This day can be attended as a course on its own or as a part of the monthly Introduction to Buddhism series. The Series topics are as follows:

Session 3. The Precious Human Life & Impermanence
Session 4. Â Karma & Samsara
Session 5. Entering the Buddhist Path
Session 6. The Spiritual Friend
Session 7. Cultivating Boddhicitta
Each Session will also include time for Q&A and meditation.Â
Our Tibetan Tearoom & Shop will be serving lunch on a first come basis.Â
