About the event

Saka Dawa celebrates Lord Buddha's birth, enlightenment and parinirvana. It falls on the fourth month of the Tibetan Lunar calendar, with the full moon day known as Saka Dawa. The day is believed to hold great merit, as it marks the three major life events of the Buddha, and any virtuous or un-virtuous actions are multiplied manifold.  It is a period with strong focus on spiritual practice, generosity and ethical conduct. This year it falls on Wednesday 11th June 2025.
