About the event
This precious teaching was given by Venerable Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche in the early 2000's in Samye Dzong London, while it was still situated in Carlisle Lane, Lambeth. We will watch the video from the archive of past teachings.
The Thirty-five Buddhas are the special confession Buddhas. While they were Bodhisattvas, they made vows to assist beings to overcome their negativities. Sometimes the title is translated as the Sutra in Three Sections, or it is also called the Confession to the 35 Buddhas.
So what actually is this Sutra about?
The sutra is divided into three different sections,
The first is homage by prostration to the Thirty-five Buddhas.
The second is Confession.
The third is Dedication.
The four powers and the "Seven-Branch Prayer" are also included in the sutra.
Thrangu Rinpoche explains the benefit and importance of the Sutra in this video teaching.
The £5 is a non refundable registration fee, not a payment for the course. There is no charge for our courses and teachings, but donations to help cover the costs of running the centre are very welcome.
