Working with the Emotions with Lama Zangmo

This weekend course will focus especially on how we can deal with painful emotions such as anger, attachment, stress, fear and confusion through meditation and the way we think. Transforming these emotions provides greater space for gratitude and joy to emerge and play a greater role in our day to day tasks, relationships and towards our general wellbeing.

When the afflictions overwhelm us and we are ruled by the negative emotions, we are only thinking of our own benefit, and thus corruption and dishonesty easily take over. The negative emotions disturb our inner peace and motivate actions that ripen into unhappiness.

To apply an antidote we need to be able to recognise the emotion, reflect on the negative impact it has, and then apply the appropriate remedy. With time and practice we become able to pacify and tame the mind. Lama Zangmo will explain this topic and give some meditation instructions. 

The course is a good follow-up for anyone who already attended a beginners meditation course. It will include time for actual meditation practice and Q&A.

Lunch will be available in our Tibetan Tearoom.

Suitable for anyone wishing to gain more familiarity with the Buddhist practices.

The £5 is a registration fee, not a payment for the course. There is no charge for our courses and teachings, but donations to help cover the costs of the centre are very welcome.
